Ayumi Hamasaki Denies Having a Child with Elon Musk

Late last week, The New York Times released a report on Elon Musk‘s troubled private life since he joined now-US President Donald Trump on the campaign trail last year. The article included an interview with Ashley St. Clair, an American conservative influencer and the mother of Elon Musk’s 14th child.

In the interview, she revealed that Elon told her “he had fathered children around the world, including one with a Japanese pop star. He said he would be willing to give his sperm to anyone who wanted to have a child.” She commented, “He made it seem like it was just his altruism and he generally believed these people should just have children.”

Immediately, there was speculation in Japan and online as to who the JPop singer in question could be.

The Japanese mainstream media has not been naming names as far as to who this woman could be, given legal reasons.

On his Sunday evening radio program, comedian Ariyoshi Hiroiki said, “It is embarrassing to even pry into this kind of thing,” which garnered laughs from his co-hosts. “Because, given his age, there are only a limited number of stars around that age who sing pop songs. There are only about three diva-like people, right? But I think it is possible that Musk is just showing off. In fact, he may be flirting with a Japanese pop star and is actually a secret idol fan.”

The online world is unsurprisingly less restrained with naming names, and one name in particular kept popping up: Ayumi Hamasaki.

The reasons for naming Ayumi became clear when looking at her personal life. At the end of 2019, she gave birth to her first child, a son. In the spring of 2021, she gave birth to her second child. She has not named the father of her children.

It was also pointed out that both of her former husbands, Manuel Schwarz and Tyson Bodkin, are white men.

Ayumi has also lived in and visited California for decades, the same state where Elon used to live.

All of this speculation led to Ayu taking to Instagram to set the record straight: Elon is not the father of her children.

In her first Story addressing the topic, she said that has been watching the speculation quietly, but will now respond.

Then she flatly denies that Elon is the father of her children.

She joked, saying that she does understand how people could think it was her.

Ayumi remarked that even her mother laughed at the situation, saying, “This news seems like it’s about Ayu-chan.”

Ayumi said that if she was a stranger, she herself would probably say, “Is this Ayu?”, with a laugh.

She said that she wanted to deny the allegation properly, just in case one of her children someday Googles it.

She finished her statement with “The end.”
