On November 21, Awich will release her new album “Okinawan Wuman” digitally.
The album was entirely produced by Wu-Tang Clan member RZA, and is the first time that he was produced an album by a Japanese rapper. He also appears as a featured guest on the artist, along with the likes of Joey Bada$$, FERG, Lupe Fiasco, NENE, Chinza DOPENESS, and R-Shitei.
Of this album, Awich said, “As a rapper, I’m proud to have been able to connect the spirit of Okinawa with the spirit of hip hop, working with my mentor RZA, and to give shape to my journey into the world.”
