Japan Weekend Box Office 02/02 – 02/04. “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Hashira Training” debuted at number one with over 600 million yen in revenue. “Kamen Rider 555 20th: Paradise Regained” debuted in sixth.

The weekend box office data for the days of February 2 to February 4 saw “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – To the Hashira Training” debut at the number one spot dethroning “Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom.” Based on the manga of the same name which has sold over 150 million copies in total, the new film attracted 443,700 moviegoers and earned a box office revenue of 647 million yen in the first 3 days. Other newly released films that debuted within the top 10 include a new addition to the Kamen Rider franchise “Kamen Rider 555 20th: Paradise Regained” in sixth place. 

“Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom” fell to second place but showed strong results of 318,400 moviegoers and box office revenue of 523 million yen. The cumulative results have now reached 1.21 million moviegoers and box office revenue of over 1.9 billion yen. In third place, “Golden Kamuy ” attracted 163,500 moviegoers and grossed 247 million yen, bringing its cumulative total to 1.11 million moviegoers and a box office revenue of 1.6 billion yen.
