MBS has revealed that a live-action drama of sora’s Tsuiraku JK to Haijin Kyōshi manga will premiere on April 6. It will star Akari Takashi as the student Mikoto Ochiai, and starring in a serial drama for the first time, Ryo Hashimoto of Johnny’s Jr. unit HiHi Jets will play the role of the teacher Jin Haiba.
The romantic-comedy story follows an intelligent, but suicidal teen Mikoto Ochiai who one day attempts to take her own life on the school’s roof. She is interrupted by a gambling addicted teacher named Jin Haiba who stops her by suggesting that she should try starting a romantic relationship with him before she dies. About his character, Ryo commented, “If you get to know him, you will definitely fall in love with him. He is a character full of such charm!”
“Tsuiraku JK to Haijin Kyoushi” will be directed by Moon Sung-ho (That Lyric: Sakuragi An, I Tried Haiku for the First Time) and Takahasi Natsuki (Sayounara Konbanwa). The script will be written by Ayumi Shimo (Don’t Stop My Beautification).
