JAKOPS, the chief producer of XG, was arrested on suspicion of drug possession.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department arrested JAKOPS and three others, two of whom are Avex employees, for violating the Stimulant Control Act for allegedly possessing cocaine.
According to investigators, the four suspects are accused of possessing several grams of cocaine while at a hotel in Aichi Prefecture. The Drug and Firearm Investigation Division obtained information that the suspects were using cocaine, and then searched their hotel room. Cocaine and dried cannabis were seized from the room.
XGALX, XG’s management company which JAKOPS founded, stated, “We are currently verifying the situation.”
