Japan Weekend Box Office 07/05 – 07/07: ‘Look Back’ is now the number one movie in Japan

The box office data in Japan for the first weekend of July 2024 revealed that in its second week in theaters “Look Back” was able to move up one spot from last week to first place, dethroning “Let’s Go! Anpanman: Baikinman and Lulun of the Picture Book.” “Look Back” brought in 129,900 moviegoers and earned 222 million yen over the weekend. The cumulative total has now become 360,000 moviegoers and box office revenue of 600 million yen. Meanwhile, now in second place “Let’s Go! Anpanman: Baikinman and Lulun of the Picture Book” attracted 78,300 moviegoers and earned 101.5 million yen. The cumulative total has now exceeded 240,000 moviegoers and 300 million yen. Other newly released films that were able to debut within the top 10 include Hollywood film “Ferrari” in 5th place and domestic film “Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture Act 3” in 7th place.
