Poster and Trailer for Hard-Hitting Boxing Movie “Haru ni Chiru” Now Available

A trailer and poster for the upcoming movie “Haru ni Chiru” starring Koichi Sato & Ryusei Yokohama has been revealed. Haru ni Chiru is a boxing themed story adapted from the novel of the same title by Kotaro Sawaki. The film version will be directed by “Fragments of the Last Will” director Takahisa Zeze.

The plot follows former boxer Jinichi Hirooka (Koichi Sato) who lost a boxing match by an unfair decision. After moving to the United States for 40 years he returns to Japan, and meets aspiring boxer Shogo Kuroki (Ryusei Yokohama) in a bar by chance. Jinichi finds out Shogo also lost a match due to an unfair decision and the two decide to team up with the aim to become world champions together.

Haru ni Chiru is set to be released in Japan on August 25, 2023.
