“Rohan at the Louvre” starring Issei Takahashi will be released on May 26, 2023 by the production team of the NHK drama “Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan” (2020-2022). The story is based on a one-shot manga by Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure mangaka Hirohiko Araki. The main visual shows Rohan Kishibe dressed in all black with the Louvre museum being visible in the background. Character visuals and a trailer have also been released.

The main character Rohan Kishibe (played by Takahashi), is a successful mangaka who first appeared in the manga JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable that was serialized from 1992 to 1995. A spin-off manga, Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan, began serialization in 1997. Like many characters in the Jojo’s Biazarre Adventure universe, Rohan possesses a special ability. His ability called “Heavens Door” allows him to turn his opponent into a book, read about their life and darkest secrets, and can even rewrite things to alter their memories and abilities. In “Rohan at the Louvre” , Rohan will go to the famous Louvre museum in France in pursuit of the darkest and most evil painting in the world.

The character visuals feature Rohan, his editor Kyoka Izumi played by Marie Iitoyo, and four new cast members. Joining the cast is Fumino Kimura as Nanase, a mysterious black-haired woman Rohan meets in his youth, Kento Nagao (Naniwa Danshi) as a younger version of Rohan, Ryunosuke Tatsum as Masanobu Ando, an investigator at the Louvre and Minami as Emma Noguchi, a staff member of the Louvre who guides Rohan and Kyoka.
