Koki Tanaka Sentenced to 1 Year and 4 Months in Prison

Former KAT-TUN member Koki Tanaka was sentenced to one year and four months in prison today for the use of stimulants.

Last June, Koki was arrested in Kashiwa, Chiba Prefecture for being in possession of stimulants. That arrest came less than ten days after he received his three year suspended prison sentence for a previous drug arrest in January 2022.

Koki confessed to the charge against him, showed remorse, and vowed to end his drug usage by seeking treatment.

The court originally requested two years of prison, but his time was reduced to one year and four months.
