Japan Weekend Box Office 04/14 – 04/16 “Detective Conan: Black Iron Submarine” Debuts in First Place

The weekend movie box office ranking from April 14th to April 16th has been released and “Detective Conan: Black Iron Submarine” made a splash debut in first place with 2,176,400 moviegoers and 3,146 million yen in box office revenue. Last week’s number one, “Doraemon: Nobita’s Sky Utopia” dropped to second place with 102,000 moviegoers and 127 million yen, bringing the cumulative total to 3.37 million moviegoers and exceeding 4 billion yen. “My Happy Marriage” also went down one rank from the previous week, but was able to collect 70,000 moviegoers and 98 million yen in box office revenue over the weekend. The cumulative results have now exceeded 1.76 million moviegoers and box office revenue of 2.3 billion yen.
