The weekend movie box office ranking from the days of December 22 to December 24 revealed that the first movie adaptation of the popular TV anime “SPY×FAMILY” based on Tatsuya Endo’s manga, “SPY×FAMILY CODE: White”’ attracted 866,000 moviegoers and grossed a box office revenue of 1.224 billion yen (8.5 million USD) in its first three days of release and taking the top spot with it. Other new releases that managed to debut within the top 10 are “Kamen Rider the Winter Movie: Gotchard & Geats Strongest Chemy Great Gotcha Operation” and “Perfect Days” starring Koji Yakusho debuting in 9th place.
Last week’s first place “Wish” was bumped down a spot but still showed promising results with 257,000 moviegoers and a box office revenue of 369 million yen. The cumulative performance is now at 866,000 moviegoers and box office revenue of 1,222 million yen. Now in third place, “I Wish I Could Meet You Again on the Hill Where That Flower Blooms” was attended by 244,000 moviegoers and earned a box office revenue of 310 million yen. The cumulative results are now 1,243,000 moviegoers with a box office revenue that has exceeded 1,585 million yen.
